This year I was the YW camp director assistant! I worked with Leslie Rogers, camp director, Brenda Williams, YW district Pres, Seila Lee and Sheryl Hall, YW district counselors! :) Our theme this summer was SMILE (Spiritually Minded Is Life Eternal) It was a wonderful and great learning experience! We worked with Del Rio 1st branch, Del Rio 3rd branch, Eagle Pass and Carrizo Springs. Camp took place at Davis Moutains, about 4.5 hours from Del Rio. We had many invasions from javelina, skunk, deer, and a cute little fox, tons of heat, windy nights, continuous smiling and laughter, fun crafts, neverending hiking, natural spring swimming, and lots more!
These wonderful district leaders, Sheryl Hall and Seila Lee, helped out so much! We were a strong, laughing team! I love them! Camp was so much fun, full of giggles and outbursts of laughter! But I definitely missed Leslie....Wish she was there.
We Are Your Laughing Leaders...... here to make you smile! Don't you fret, don't you frown, we'll be here for a while!":D This was our cheer. We could never get it right. Someone would mess up the tune or mix up the words. We were indeed the laughing leaders. And we always had a SMILE on!
