book.

I finally made myself sit and create a book! It felt soooooo good. The last time I put one together was in february so this was long over due. It is a simple french pamphlet. French pamphlets are meant to only have one signature(4 folded pages= 8) but I snuck an extra page in :) I was extremely happy and excited after 4 hours of labor. I love it, hope you love it too.

Viareggio

Arrival to Viareggio was magical. It was incredibly sunny and DRY!!! We checked into our apartment and immediately headed to the beach, 2 blocks away! We found people diving into the water in their bikinis and figured it was warm. So wrong. Water was freezing!!! So we just sat down on the beach, Tanner took off his shirt ;), his milky body needs as much sun as possible. It eventually got too cold for us and we followed our stomachs in search of food. I ate pizza almost every single day while in Italy. It's amazing I never grew tired of it. Tanner tried some tortellini and was a little disappointed. The gelato di cocco was GLORIOUS!!!! I don't know if you can tell by my photo how much passion was going into every lick...
One night Tanner was starving and we searched all over the little town for a pizza place, around 9:30 pm, and well we finally found one and decided to try out pizza di tonno. After getting our pizza to go and heading home I couldn't help realize something smelled horrible. I kept asking Tanner what that smell was. I suddenly realized nothing smells like that but TUNA! disgusting. Tanner begged me to try it, he said it wasn't too bad. And it wasn't, but will I ever order a pizza di tonno again? NO.
Our last morning in Viareggio we took a quick trip to the beach and found several HUGE jellyfish looking things...I poked it with a stick but nothing happened. Haha

Viareggio was incredibly lovely. We are so glad we randomly decided to stay there. Our host was so amazing as well! Viareggio, thank you for your hospitality! We shall return!

Firenze-2

I toughened up our last day in Florence and rode my bike to the center of the city. We woke up early-ish and headed to the Uffizi Gallery, this was a must-see! We were in line for about an hour and decided to give in and pay an itsy bitsy more to skip the line. We do not regret that decision one bit! We skipped going to the Accademia, which was sad but we were in a major hurry to catch our train ride to Viareggio. I was a bad girl and broke the rules and snapped an photo on my phone of Botticelli's Birth of Venus. We had our first kebab while in Florence and fell in love all over again. I am sooo glad, as Tanner is, that I randomly chose the kebab place by our apt our first day.
I love Florence and can't wait for when we return!

South Padre Island

Last weekend Tanner and I drove down to South Padre Island and met up with my gorgeous friend Mayra and her boyfriend Will. Kylie and Sydni met up with us later. It was an amazing little vay-cay with tons of sun! I definitely got some color! This beach time really made us miss our Hawaii days.
Ps I borrowed the photo of all four of us girls jumping from Syd and the one before the last photo of tan and I is from Mayra! It's really hard to ever get photos of us two!

Firenze- 1

I must confess, Florence was almost my favorite city in Italy. It is quite difficult choosing one. I will say that I definitely saw my fair share of naked men while in Florence.  I have soooo many photos to share of Florence that I decided to split it into two posts so it does not become too overwhelming. We saw so much detail everywhere! I loved it all. If you haven't caught on, it rained so much during our entire trip. The sun did bless us with it's glorious shine once in a while, but we knew traveling during April we would be guaranteed tons of wetness.  Our first day in Firenze we climbed the Duomo- many, many steps... I do not recommend it to claustrophobic peeps! At the very top was an amazing view of the city, we absolutely LOVED it! We also got to see the 2 replicas of David. Our first day of adventures we walked everywhere because I was too much of a scaredy cat to ride our bikes through the crazy traffic!

Venezia

Venice was wonderful. Our day had started out really bad all thanks to a Bus Patrol "cop" who took advantage of the fact that we were Americans. (We didn't have a bus pass because of a lot of confusion from the previous day and well he asked for our passports... And well he got off the bus with us and made us pay on the spot a 50 euro fine) I was really angry and realized this could possibly ruin the rest of the day, I managed to just let it go, which is a major wow for me to do! I really loved Venice and had the BEST Nutella gelato for only 1.50 euros! I was in heaven! Sooo many Catholic Cathedrals, amazing detailed and beautiful. We did not  ride the gondolas, due to the stupid fine and the weather wasn't the greatest. But we know we are coming back someday and will definitely be riding them! As you can see in the tenth photo, we also had to pay to use the bathroom! I will admit I love Italian toilet paper, so soft and strong for the tush!
