My Hair Creations

The two headbands i made today.
ive been trying to figure out how to make my bands and today i just saw this lace in my creation box, sat down, and started sewing it together. My mom said i need to stop buying stuff to make headbands if im not going to sell them.... ha..




This feather creation i made friday night, quickly, before going to the movies. ive been wearing it since. LOVE IT! It is kind of cheaply made but it was just a sample of my further work to come. Im having fun and feeling better about brooke. all i need is creation in my life.

feeling giddy

today was not a typical brooke day, I felt spectacular, i smelled delicious( i almost always do, when i do not forget to apply my deodorant that is...) so i went out and did what i always like to do.... go to the thrift store!! And i bought a 38mm camera for $3.25. stoked! but i havent got it to work so thats the low of the day. back to the high, the thrifty shop was way cool but the owner didnt let me take pictures inside... I wandered around downtown and found an awesome shop that carries other mini shops, "the chix treasurers" and was ever-so happy! I socialized A LOT and got compliments from older woman who seemed sincere about it. I was happy. This is the brooke i want to be. I dont want to struggle being myself anymore. Any-who, this little shop on losoya was divine!! I just want everyone to come see for themselves. so i was full of giddy-ness today. i shopped a bit around downtowns at the little shops looking for accessories for my hair creations!!

oh the silliness

i feel so silly but i miss school already.
Now that Im here in delightful Del Rio, the sun is shining nonstop in the Rex. The weather is perfect there! My lovely lil lady friend Chelsea is there, my roommate from my first semester Candice too is there and a photographer Ive been following for a while will be there in 2 days. Jonthan Canlas will be speaking to the photography program on Thursday. This makes me sad. I feel like Im getting no where at the moment. I must create something soon or I will disappear.

smell of books

I love books...
As soon as I walked into the library Friday afternoon, I got a great whiff of book heaven. Such a lovely smell.... I love the smell of old books pages... oh so comforting..

And Texas loves me.
Im so happy to be home. I was so overwhelmed this morning with all my luggeage crap and i did not get to sleep last night... Tons of packing and forcefully closing suitcases.... and cleaning! Then 4 hr shuttle drive to SLC but i was in the great land of texas by 7 pm!!

the things i do....

Its quite annoying, and time consuming, the things i do when i am feeling low, uninspired and very, very tired.....

-i go to my blog, and check out all the ppl that have recently blogged(Jasmine Star, Sgt Hub.... Courtney and Nienie and other photographers) and creep them some more. then i look through the blogs they follow and see if i find anyone interesting(very creepy huh? we know ppl don't have privacy)
-after i creep tons of ppl, i look through my entries and just read them.
-vacuum my room, i cannot think clear when i have a dirty desk or messy floor
-i crochet headbands(very addicting)
-i catch up on gossipgirl, greys anatomy, desperate housewives.... and others
-i go to deviantart and just search through photos.
-i read fitness articles.
-and only recently, i stuff my face...(bad news..)

obviously none of these are a good waste of my time..... good time to realize...

brilliant idea i got from random blog, hula seventy, 20 things to do before i turn 21!!! I need extra creative juice because I am low on fuel.... But yes, I will get a go and get working on it. I know my brain will not rest until i am satisfied... I have 5 months to fulfill the numbers on my list, which are soon to be made...

What's up with that???

What is my deal??? Seriously....
I wake up every morning at 4:45-5:15, work out for 2-2.5 hrs... Eat a light snack and go to class 7:45/8.... This week has been BAH!! for me :( Monday was the only day I woke up for the gym, but then I ate HUGE meal.... I was studying right before my test at the food galley and couldn't pass up the lumberjack meal. Im such a fatty.... They say working out makes you feel good about yourself and your body, not for this little lady... i will never forget, from 2 yrs ago, that nats said i had back fat, LOL... Its killing me and my calves... I want massive calves.... Get over it..



So my roommate Mary bakes A LOT and Ive been soooooo disciplined on not over eating until Sunday. So depressing. She baked delicious whole wheat chocolate chip cookies then she told me she knew how to make coffee cake, yum... I had her make it and YUM it was... Now Im sad and can't keep my hands off the sweets.. WHAT IS MY DEAL?? My excuse is, im stressing, 8 more days in Idaho... Its too much for me and I just WANT TO LEAVE THE STUPID COLD!! :( Tomorrow I will make it to the gym at 5:15 even though I dont have class. Its called discipline and I have TONS OF IT!!!!

PS.
I was not fooled today, though someone did try tricking me that I was related to Obama.... I didn't believe but was curious about it... LOL...
